Couple Arrested Operating Dental Clinic From Bus

Here's a story you don't hear every day, a couple has been arrested in Miami-Dade Florida after they were found to be operating a rogue dental practice from a bus.

Miami-Dade police say that Victor Bernal and Daniela Sulbaran were arrested early November 2018. They were taken into custody for maintaining a health care facility without proper licensing. Victor Bernal was in addition arrested for possession of illegal drugs with the intent to sell.

Officials in Miami-Dade Florida performed the undercover investigation via setting up an initial appointment with the duo. The appointment was then said to be located on their bus parked at 6000 Northwest of 74th avenue. Shortly upon arrival investigators were evaluated, diagnosed and offered treatment. That's when authorities were given the go-ahead to move in and perform an arrest. Authorities subsequently found prescription drugs commonly used in a dental setting. Some of these included mepivacaine, lidocaine, and common ibuprofen.

Going to a rogue clinic holds with it many risks. Rogue operators such as this often have little to no documented experience in performing risky dental procedures. While the cost may be low initially, the long-term risks run very high as one might end up with a procedure gone wrong. If you are faced with a dental issue and cannot afford the care it is always best to go to a licensed dentist. A large majority of clinics offer payment plans for those who cannot afford treatment.
